Things are poppin’ at Hawes Farms as summer draws to a close.  We are planting popcorn!  And lovely sunflowers (our squirrels are excited about that!) and pumpkins.

This year the whole family can enjoy burning off energy on the Barnyard Jump, our new jumbo jumping pillow.  We have built a Goat Walk for the entertainment of goats and visitors alike.  And we’ve gone into gemstone mining with the Old Deschutes Mine now in operation.

Last year, some folks enjoyed lobbing corncobs or baby pumpkins at our friendly neighbor’s cows — so we took a hint.  This year we have added Cow Tipping — with some whimsical cows that just love to have things thrown at them.
